Why Parents
Choose Us

Many families come to Havern after feeling that the social-emotional or academic support in their local public schools is not sufficient for their child to thrive. At Havern, we provide an inclusive environment with intentionally small class sizes that allow for personalized attention. We also offer integrated therapies right at school, ensuring that every student receives the comprehensive support they need to succeed.

Who We Serve

Havern School and the Havern Autism Program (HAP) are both dedicated to supporting neurodiverse learners. Havern School caters to students aged 5 to 14 years, offering a nurturing environment with a 4:1 student-to-staff ratio and specialized therapies. HAP specifically supports students with level 1 or level 2 autism spectrum disorder (ASD), focusing on individualized instruction, social skills development, and integrated therapies to foster independence and
self-advocacy.

What Parents Are Saying

My child struggled academically and socially in a regular public school setting, but at Havern she is making huge strides. Her reading and comprehension have surpassed what I thought she was capable of, and she has a renewed confidence that has allowed her to participate in activities that she was too intimidated and overwhelmed by at her old school.

Best of all, she has finally found a place where she fits in socially. For the first time ever, she's developing friendships with kids her own age and is blossoming. I love to see her so happy and excited about school.

The Havern community is nurturing and encouraging, and we are so lucky to be a part of it!”

— Havern Parent

“Havern is an incredibly special place. It is the small, nurturing environment my child needed. He is finally excited to go to school and is sad when he has to miss. He feels like he belongs, and his needs are finally being met. His teachers love him, and he adores them. We feel so lucky to be at Havern!”

— Havern Parent

“My child attended Havern for 6 years, before making the transition to high school last year. With Havern’s individualized support, she grew academically and emotionally for a seamless transition into a significantly larger school environment for high school.”
